Re: WTB Slotted Mags - Slots

How soon are you looking to buy? I am on the fence about upgrading the front brakes on my '74. If I do, I am going to have to upgrade the wheels, too. I have a set of Superior 15x8.5's on my truck with brand new Radial T/A's right now.

Re: WTB Slotted Mags - Slots

Jonboy: I'm looking to buy soon. Are all four of your wheels 8.5" wide? Do you currently have discs and drop spindles up front? Any rubbing? Looks like the tires are larger than I want to run.

Thanks for the pics LockDoc

Re: WTB Slotted Mags - Slots

All 4 are 8.5's. My truck is lowered with 3" spindles in the front, and a cut spring (It's about 6" of drop). The control arms are ground back a little bit, and there isn't any real rubbing. I am rinning a 245/60 in the front and a 255/70 in the rear.

I also have a set of 5on5 15x7's at a friend's place in Austin, if you were wanting to run a narrower wheel. They aren't as nice as these, but should polish right up.

Yeah I was planning on running 7's up front and 8.5's in the rear. Could you get pics of the 15x7's?

Re: WTB Slotted Mags - Slots

I was too, hence the 15x7's. I like the 8.5's in the front better, but that is just me. PM me your email addy, and I will shoot them over tonight. I have pics on my home computer.

Re: WTB Slotted Mags - Slots

Did you decide to keep the 6 lug setup, or convert to 5 lug?

Re: WTB Slotted Mags - Slots

I would prefer to convert to 5 lug. As far as width goes, I'm not sure if I want to go with 7" or 8.5" in the front. I'm new to these trucks. I just want the tires to be able to tuck a little without rubbing and to be able to run disc brakes up front without having the rims rub any brake or suspension components. Heck, I wouldn't mind running some deep 15x10's in the rear and 15x8's up front if I could get them to tuck a little.

Okay, I'm back looking for these. I found some 5 lug 15x7's now I just need two 15x8.5 slots for the back. Anyone?

Re: WTB Slotted Mags - Slots

Hey southern parts, that's a nice set of wheels you've got there. Unfortunatly I've got four 15x8.5's that are like yours where the slot pattern has more of a "dish" to create the depth of the wheel. I'm looking for more of a lip.

Like the one pictured here.

Re: WTB Slotted Mags - Slots

Cedric,
If your interested in staying 6 lug, I have this set in this pic.
I also have a 6 Lug front Disc setup. Could save you some money!
The front end is on a frame so I'd have to remove it.
one of the rims has a crack on a lug hole. Let me know.
Ill go $250 for all of it picked up (front end and 4 rims).

Mike

Re: WTB Slotted Mags - Slots

Thanks Mike but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with a 5 lug setup. I already got some replacement axles.
