can someone tell me why so many people want original trim and grilles. aluminum grills that is. I have all the original trim off my 65 custom cab but it all needs polished. wouldnt repop look better?

i dont think they repop aluminum grills, and oem fit much better...

I am talking about repop trim,sails ect.

The orig. Alum grills will never polish like the repop chrome grills.
But what is the longevity of repop stuff.

Sure they will......Its aluminum....will polish out like anything else with the right time and materials.

Most of the repop stuff does not have the same attention to detail. Most guys go to the repop stuff since its new in a bag instead or restoring or rebuilding their old parts. I'll take oem/nos any day over repop.
