Re: bed rails

I talked to Paul's Chrome about getting some plated last year and it's expensive. They estimated around 80.00 for each piece which is 320.00 but that's show quality plating. Could be a little more or less. They couldn't give a definite price without seeing them.
The ends are made of pot metal and hard to work with.
I ended up getting bed rails from a seller on ebay for 195.00.
Here is a set you may want to keep an eye on. They look like they have decent looking ends.

Brown's Plating Service, inc.
1010 Krebs Station Road
Paducah, Ky 42003
Phone (270) 554-1146 Fax (270) 554-1170

They have been chrome plating for over 45 years and they do a top notch job. I now have two bumper guards and one is bent and doing a 7 layer process unique to the plating industry. They go beyond and OEM plated part with a specially developed process giving your parts a high quality long lasting finish. They also do Nickel Plating, Satin Nickel Plating, Copper Plating, Polish Only to a bright finish, Strip and Sand Blast or strip only. The cost for my two bumper guards (also fixing the bent one) is only $185.00 and you can ship your parts to them and they will give you a price and if you are OK with price they will do the work. Check them out. They really do show quality job. No, I am not a family member etc. just a happy customer. Chrome plating is expensive. Give them a call.
