Hood to cowl gasket on a taskforce

I know this isn't rocket science but does it matter which way you put the hood to cowl rubber on? Does the split go to the front or back? Does the side with the lip on go on top or bottom? I was in the garage and wanted to do a quick job and thought this would be easy, but then didn't know which way to go. Any suggestions?

Thanks, tbrown

OK thanks, I was looking at it again and realized the one side is flat and the other curved so yhe flat side would be on the bottom.
