I was thinking a 255/50/20 ....Maybe a bit to much tire?

Re: Looking for Drop/wheel/tire thread

I don't have any issues either as I am somewhere around a 4" drop up front with 18x8's running a 225/50 tire. I mis-judged and didn't put enough tire under the front end or it would rub. Plus like Phillip said they just stick out too far to me.

I'm not an expert on this stuff by any means, but yeah I think it might stick out at bit with only 4.5" backspacing.

Re: Looking for Drop/wheel/tire thread

Mine's a 255/45-20 and it's a bit beefy for me. Not sure of the specs on my wheels, but they rub when I go over a dip in a turn when I let out enough air to get the tire right at fender lip height. Granted, my suspension is prolly a bit softer than most static drops.

I personally would like to tuck tire just a little and still drive normally. I will be downsizing to a 245/40-20 when these tires wear out

Re: Looking for Drop/wheel/tire thread

Hey @JWall when you had your sport wheels on did you have any fitment issues with the control arms? If I don't find a set of 20s soon I wanna run those until I do. I ordered a bell tech 4/5.5 kit yesterday.

I trimmed the rain gutters on the control arms and no issues.

Re: Looking for Drop/wheel/tire thread

Well here it is with my Eagle 225s as stated in the first post. Plan to lift the rear up with stock shackles (PO had drop shackles) and going to run a 275/40r20 on the front. This should do fine until I get some 6 lug axles for the rear to run the NBS 20" factory wheels.
