Ok thanks guys. I knew I knew what it was just couldn't rememeber and tried looking it up on the Internet just couldn't rememeber exactly what it was to search for. And this just sends the pressure amount to the oil pressure gauge so I know what it is correct? I must have knocked the wire off the other day while working around it taking the kickdown cable off.

you need to replace the vacuum plug also I see it is split it will suck air like it is

correct.

it is a grounded system that sends an ohm value "to" the guage and tells it what position to set the needle. in very simplified terms

The wire that hooks to it should be tan.
