As much a PITA as it might be....I'd pay to send it back and then deal with other vendors.
Its too bad they won't fix their issue and will cost a few bucks to ship back, but you still need the correct part. I'd post in the vendor review to educate others on the issue with the part. I also use inline tube for all my brake lines. Great service, parts and fast shipping.

i havent seen any repops with the correct hand brake attachment piece. maybe the think one will cut a slice in the old attachment piece and weld it back up after you slide the new one on?
