Very very nice truck and you made a great deal at a fair price. I cant believe the interior is so nice and love the way GMC colour matches the gauge surround to the interior colour. Now all you have to do is drive the wheels off her !!!!

Re: 1970 gmc 1500

Update after one application of Meguiars #7 on the original paint. I also cleaned the chrome and it was flawless!! Also no rust on this truck.

I am putting on another coat overnight. This was not waxed yet wait until the polish and wax.

I used this procedure on my 1959 Cadillac Coupe Deville also all original paint and no rust

Here's a rocker panel shot see how clean she is!

This was before any paint treatments just a wash.

Re: 1970 gmc 1500

Got an issue with truck engine cutting out. I think its ignition not gas but I am checking it out.

I discovered truck went 760 miles in 11 years 9 months. Well I drove it home 675 miles in 2 days!

Maybe the points went bad. I will know by Friday. I thought maybe the gas had some debris in it but I doubt it since the engine will die fairly quickly.

But she started again but seems weak. She was running strong on the way home. Went up the Vermont mountains like they were flat. Powerful.
