Those steering kits work fine, as long as you don't want to lower the truck. What steering column are you going to use?

I'm going to keep the stock one and just cut it ti fit. I removed some of the leaf springs,so the truck that's it a little bit lower but I still have the stock front end do you think that that will affect the steering

You should be ok with removing a few springs. If you want to reuse the original column, you can cut it off the old steering box and put a bushing in the end to hold the shaft. Leave some shaft sticking out, grind 2 flats spots on it, and bolt on a u-joint.

yeah that's exactly what I'm thinking about doing I have never done it before but I'm learning a lot from the tech support at classic performance parts so I'm hoping that I can make this happen thanks for all the help

Truck is looking really good! Chassis...awesome. Always something about a nicely done chassis that gets me going. Very nice!
