Great New Tool- Greenlee Tap
I just received a new tool I ordered from Amazon and used it today on some 1/2 inch aluminum. It's called the D-TAP; it's a combination tap and drill made by Greenlee and it's slick as snot. I chucked it up in my 3/8 DeWalt cordless and ran it through four holes. It drills the right size holes and taps them all in one neat operation.

Sweet bit. Do they make and sell them in 12-32 which is a fine thread tap?

Looks like you can get them in all sizes up to 3/8". Fine thread included. Sets as well.

Re: Great New Tool- Greenlee Tap
I use these all the time in my machine shop......we call the draps (drill/taps)
they really save a lot of tool change time |
