Thanks, gents. One of the problems is the size of tubing required. GM uses a 3.75" orifice, and most flexible tubings are either 3", 3.5", or 4". Wanting to keep the aesthetics on a "factory" look, I really don't want to use an aftermarket CAI set-up. I've been searching the "web" and have stumbled onto something, though, that I may try. The rubber snorkel from a '99 Suburban 5.7 looks like it may do the trick. It has the 3.75" ID needed, and it's almost 9" in length, whereas my Tahoe snorkel is only 7". Guess I'll get one and see. I also came across a silicone turbo intake tube that has the needed ID, but it has a 4 ply thickness and may be too thick and stiff to conform to the required bends.
