Re: Short fleet bed sides available soon!

I just got off the phone with the manufacture and they said the guys are pulling them off the truck right now. The will be sending out the "in stock" flyer today.

Which means I should get them up on the website!.

Re: Short fleet bed sides available soon!

They've been out for a couple of months now. I got mine from LMC just after my posts here. They look pretty good but I have not bolted them together yet. There is another thread about them on here where someone assembled them.

We have sold a number of sets and I have asked for feedback from a everyone. Everyone has said they are much much better that anticipated.

For a small shop like me, the shipping is tough but I have been lowering the price on sets to help offset the shipping cost. Is it true that LMC will ship a set for free?

They didn't charge me for shipping and it was to a residential address. There website state "$1000.01 and Up Free Truck Freight * * Limitations may apply." There catalog states $125 added to cart for shipping per bedside, but it went away once I added both bedsides to the cart ($1199 Total). LMC stocked the bedsides about a week and a half after classic parts.

Re: Short fleet bed sides available soon!

Ya, hard for me to compete with free shipping on something so large.

But they are a good product from the feedback we have received.

Re: Short fleet bed sides available soon!

For me the chance of freight damage from Kansas wasn't worth the extra 100.00 hassle.

Re: Short fleet bed sides available soon!

Just starting my hunt for a short bed and finding more step sides then fleet sides - probably because I want a fleet side. Would I be able to use these panels to convert a stepside into a fleet side?

Yes but you will have to buy all the cross sills for a fleetside in your year. Plus a front bed panel and tail gate. Oh yeah...Don't forget the wheel tubs too.

So you're saying it can be done?

Thanks for the info. Sounds like the better path is to continue looking for a fleetside.

If you can find a good used short bed, it will bolt right on. You do have the option to get it brand new.
