How did you get the chrome knobs off? They were staked on with a lot of force at the factory.

Wiggle and pull, honestly. Some are on better than others. Those three I used were the best off the controls I bought and the one that was on the truck. The levers have barbs on the sides, so wiggle the knobs side to side while pulling to free it.
