Did your step get dropped at some point? That entire flange should be at 90* to the bedside. You're going to have some difficulty bolting that back up without damaging the paint

Best pics I could find of mine:

Re: Stepside steps brackets?

LMC and The Filling Station both sell the repop steps but not the brace. Just FYI

Re: Stepside steps brackets?

Like said nobody does the brace YET Tim [forum name Tim Christian]is high up at KEY parts and they are the ones doing the step bracket. I was just fortunate enough to see the post about stepside brackets and a guy was looking for some and Tim said that there were not being reproduced. Then he said if some one had a set that was good they didn't need at the moment he could have them made. So I sent him a PM then a day or two later I had boxed up the steps and off to be copied they were. After those hit the stores I'll probably crack a smile every time I see them in the catalogs. Jim

This step has already been replaced--it had a dent in the outside edge that I didn't get completely out----didn't really see how bad it was till after paint. A guy locally had a step bed for sale cheap with excellent steps, so now I have a spare bed that's going to have one shiny red step on it!!
