Self leveling is the way to go in the drip rails. I have used Polyurethane caulk the good results in other area's vertical seams etc....3m 5200...$10.00 for 10oz tube, Sika flex 1a $6.00 10oz tube. no problems paint over, 20 years later it's still flexible.

5200 is some pretty permanent stuff ,24 hour cure time , its almost liquid for hours
