Sure looks like an Arizona body appears to be pretty solid. I have a 98 that came from Az and it was also full of very fine dirt. I hosed out the inner fenders and stuck the hose up over the rear wheels and dirty water came out for quite a while. I would look into getting some wood from a sawmill for the bed. My brother just did the bed floor on his 56 with rough saw pine and original bed strips. Painted the floor a light grey when finished and it looks original. He can use it as a truck but still have it look decent. Paint is easy to touch up.
