I did the same thing to my radiator support on the passenger side just patched it up...good as new...can't be seen but now It's bolted securely down...

Well, I needed to peel the "chin" off of my hood for rust repairs. It was worse than I thought, BUMMER. I will order a replacement chin piece, but the inner support must be patched. I will wait for the patch panel before rebuilding the corners of the brace. I need to be sure it all fits together.
