I go against the grain and have always run Autolite 24 Copper Core plugs.

Its funny you mention the Autolite plugs. Not knowing what wa sin the truck and how long they'd been there I went and pulled the one closest to front on drivers side and her it is . Its an Autolite # 26 and looking at it I think the electrode looks like it should but I would guess it has been in there a long time.

I would go with the ac plugs and don't forget to open the gap for the electronic ign to .045 should get you 15 easy if everything else is good . back then tolerences and points weren't as good as they are now 100,000 was a worthless engine now its nothing that's why plugs had to be changed so often . I do still have a spark plug cleaner I use for points
