Re: Dust cover Manual Muncie M20 or M21 mid 70's 350 engine

Hi Jolobo, Just wanted to let you know, the cover arrived and fit perfectly. I just had to track down a couple bolts. It actually had a "Genuine GM" Detroit Michigan 48234 sticker on it.

That's excellent news I should be able to try mines by the end of the week. Thanks for all your input and at least finally after much searching you got what you need and in the future we can tell the people what they need. Still bewilders me the manual tranny cover is not easily found like the automatic. I always hate driving my truck knowing that flywheel was exposed.

I need to order a couple of these for the 4spd set-ups I have, one for my '67 project. I have everything else and hadn't really given thought to the bottom pan

Can you? Never tried. I always bolt the pressure plate in a pattern that would require rotating the engine that way and removing the bell housing seems easier, as well as having it all opened up seems an easier for alignment. I also always install a new pilot bushing when doing a clutch

Nice! I'm glad you started this thread or I would still be driving without the cover. I just never knew what to search for and assumed they weren't reproduc3d

I cant tell you right now where----but they are available. I bought both pieces new about a month ago. You are correct---the auto inspection cover is NOT the correct one.
