![]() It was supposed to rain all day yesterday but it didn't rain a drop so I got busy getting the front clip put back together when I got home last night. Sent a picture to my buddy and he came by to buff some of the paint out and to start getting the new fenders to match the truck. I'm so ecstatic on how this is turning out, just a little time with the buffer and the paint will look amazing again! Inner fenders are on, I had to trim the driver's side a bit to clear my new steering shaft for the rack so there was a bit of on and off cycles but it wasn't terrible. ![]() Next was the core support, went on nice and easy ![]() My buddy stopped by to start making the fenders match the truck and got the passenger side of the cab buffed out. I'm getting excited to drive this thing again! ![]() ![]() ![]() The fenders are a bit cloudy so we're going to let the paint cure for a while longer and see if we can get the color to match a bit better. Not a horrible match in my opinion though! ![]() Going to call and set the exhaust appointment up today for hopefully Saturday. I gotta get a couple things ready before hand but I can do it! |

It'll go in for exhaust on Saturday, I'm going to do 2" with a quiet muffler and dump in front of the driver rear tire. Can't wait!

Re: 1966 C10 Project Truck
Woo, a new page!
Thanks man. It's back to coming along nicely again. Tonight I got the driveline in, E brake hooked up, power steering bled, battery tray and battery in and the shift lever and boot back on. Tomorrow I will tackle the wire harness to the alternator sorted out and the tranny filled again. I feel way too excited to drag it to the exhaust shop on saturday! |

Re: 1966 C10 Project Truck
Last night I made a little bracket for the choke cable and the throttle return spring. I'm not super excited about how it came out but it hides under the air cleaner so it's ok

Re: 1966 C10 Project Truck
A little update. I've logged well over 100 miles on it since Friday and I gotta say that I am extremely pleased with the truck! The T5 is awesome, steering is amazing, brakes are phenomenal and the suspension exceeded my expectations! I did run out of gas this morning, I don't have a speedo or gas gauge so I gotta get one of those working but other than that it's had no problems! Here's a shot of it out of gas and one with the rescue vehicle
