I to have fatmat in both of my trucks. And the biggest proem I found, is it doesn't resist heat well. I had 3 layers on the passenger side, which is where the exhaust runs on my dually, and it got so hot towing through Nevada, that it melted the fatmat and my wife couldnt put her feet on the floor. I also had a bagged and body dropped c10, that I ran 2 layers of fatmat, and the same problem, it melted to the carpet and didn't resist heat. Works great for sound control and reducing rattle. If you use it, I recommend using a foam with some sort of heat control.
