Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

This is a very cool thread!!! I am somewhat infatuated with original dealership history and documentation for my cars.
I have tracked down the current owner of the Oldsmobile dealer building in Fla for my '69 and now Im researching the original dealership for my '67 GMC
Ocean Lea GMC in Oceanside Long Island at 600 Atlantic Ave. Anyone have any info???

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

My '72 K/20 had the build sheet in the seat springs. It came from Rally Chevrolet in Lancaster California. So I looked on eBay for dealer stuff and bought this

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

I find it comical how a lot of folks disparage auto dealers but wax longingly about the decals and badges all these years later.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

I'll go ahead and add one I have on a truck. "Lenger Chevrolet" from Warrensburg, Mo. Their moto back in the 70's was "Come in and Lenger awhile".

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

Story goes my truck was bought in Denver by a pilot who lived in Portland Oregon. The Trans Western Airline parking sticker is still on the windshield. Not sure when the truck made it's way to B.C.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

I don't think my pickup got badges or stickers, just this little advertisement on the back end.

GEO. PHARIS CHEVROLET HEARNE, TEXAS (1968)

Bumper was made in Seguin by D&D. Mr. Pharis moved his Chevy dealership to Sugar Land in '69, which eventually became Bill Heard and then Classic Chevrolet.
