Re: Anyone else tried to order truck rallies from Wheel Vintiques lately?

ive been eyeing these 37 series wheels, but wasnt sure if they would work with my disc brake setup (1972 C10 chassis), seeing your pics makes me assume they do? I have disc front and rear and was wondering if they were disc brake compatible. (i need 14" to clear the rotor/caliper on both the front and rear)

Summit and WV stated these were for pre 71 trucks and would not work.

I'm seeing "71 & up" in the descript for the 37 series....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

when i spoke to summit tech line, they specifically stated "oops we have this mislabeled they are actually for prior to 71 trucks without disc brakes" and no one at wheel vintiques can give me a definite answer if they will clear the calipers

Seems WV are the only ones that can 100% verify that.

I would put money they're using the latest in rim hoops & would imagine they're doing the same as far as the centers are concerned. I've seen more than 1 disc brake equipped Chevy 4x4 w/WV 'car ralleys' which follows my trend of thought since disc brake spec'd wheels will also fit drum brake equipped trucks.

It does not make sense to utilize pre-71 6x5.5 drum brake center dimensions when disc brakes are so common (thus limiting the application variety). If you build wheels using disc spec'd centers, you only need to stock 1 type of center vs 2 (disc 6-lug center & non-disc 6-lug center).
