YUp!!
BB is the same as a sb.

One more thing is to rotate the motor so the front rod journal is up out of the way.

Was crossing fingers you were going to say it's magical and can been done from the top side from your recliner

I have a 400 in my '70, and it holds 5 quarts with a filter change. Be sure to just put in 5 and start it to fill the filter, then check. It should be full with 5 quarts.
