Ladder bar Q&A

Hey guys. I'm back again with some more questions. I've searched high and low and all over forums for some answers and guidance.

Here's where I'm at. Finally got through building a badass built 383 stroker. Around 545 to the crank.

I was wanting to do a full backhalf but time and money and resources she opted that out. So now I'm looking at ladder bar coilover

For anyone running bars, what length did you personally go with?

I was thinking 34-46" range?

As far as the front brackets, how many holes would be ideal for different settings?

I've read up a lot on instant center. Anti squat line and I know the ideal location for instant center is right at the anti squat line. So therefore does that mean a bracket with more mounting positions is more ideal??

I know the general rule of thumb when setting them up is o have the lower bars parallel to the ground at ride height.

Since I still have leaf springs I know it will be easier to mock up the ladder bars and cross member then once everything is square and fully welded, ree can remove the leaf springs.

So my questions
1. What length bars?
2. What pinion angle should be set before we weld?
3. How many mounting locations do your brackets have/would you recommend?
4. How to go about getting your suspension at or near anti swuat

Really not a lot of info anyone can offer without knowing a TON of details about the chassis, weight, tire, gear, RWHP, and about a 1000 other details.

All I'll say is a quote from Dave Morgan's book 'Door slammers'

Misery loves a lot of holes in a chassis bracket

You cant tune the suspension if you build in no options. What's the 'right' set up for your particular combination,,, I dont think anyone can answer that. One thng to consider is there are some pretty quick guys here running the stock trailing arm configuration (with modified trailing arms and coilovers mostly)

I honestly forgot to mention and go into detail about my setups.
As far as chassis. It's stock frame and front cross member. Future palms down the road is to do a back half subframe.

As of now I just have a leaf spring setup. I'm going with a pro street look. So I will be getting some 15x15 weld prostars for the rear with a 32" tall tire.
Weight of the truck I would estimate at 4100 with me in it. Have yet to scale it as I'm still in the building stages.

Rear end is a 10 bolt. Which I actually plan on building with 33 spline axles. Spool and maybe a 4.56 or steeper gear.

It will see very limited street use and occasionally maybe twice a month trip to my local track

Nitrous Times:
5.785 1/8 @ 118.65 with a 1.336 60ft
9.168 1/4 @ 142.58 with a 250 shot dead out of the hole!

I would actually prefer to do the ladder bars for now. As in the future I am going back half with 4 link and a big block

ladder bars are ok for a car but traing arms work well. i am looking to go 7's in the 1/4 with trailng arms!

I just bought another Luv truck . I will be going big tire ladder bar . I have the C2005 Comp eng double adjustable set up .

This truck was priced right and an easy part out to double my money . It came with the C3005 double adjustable ladders and the multi position front crossmember .
