My reason was actually quite simple. 11 years less abuse on the frame and suspension plus disk brakes, power steering, and leaf springs. Only thing required was lift the old cab up, and roll the new stuff under it.
The swap is really quite simple. Bolt the body mounts to the cab, drop the cab onto the frame, weld the mounts to the frame. Done.
