Reinstalling PS pump pulley
I bought an installer kit to reinstall the PS pump pulley but it appears the internal threads in the pump shaft that the installer screws into have rusted away to nothing.
I tried just banging the pulley on for a short while but that didn't seem smart or successful. Any other ideas before I buy a new pump? |

Re: Reinstalling PS pump pulley
Run a tap through the threads to clean them up. I do that all the time.

Re: Reinstalling PS pump pulley
what size are the threads? The installer bottoms out without engaging any threads.

Re: Reinstalling PS pump pulley
Driving or pressing that pulley on is a nono....it'll break the internals....always use a installation tool...
