I used many different headers before I choose Dougs Tri Y. The number is either 372y or 371y. They fit perfect. They add torque. They are made much better than any others I've used. The ones I have are for lowered trucks, says so in the Summit description. My truck is lowered 5 1/2 in in the front and you can even see them from the side. Love them!!

I wish Doug's still used the ball and socket flange. Stan's does but they cost a lot more. Thanks for the reply's! I think I'm gonna go with the Doug's.

I went with turbo clamps, or whatever they're called. metal on metal and nothing to leak.

I've run flange collectors on vehicles for a long time and don't consider leaks an issue. Only had to replace a gasket a couple times and it couldn't be any easier. I just did heads on my '72, so had to disconnect the collectors for the first time since 2004 when I put the headers and exhaust on. same headers went back on... Hedman Torque-Steps.

Re: Tri-Y headers: Doug's, Stan's, Thorley, or??

I just installed the Doug's D371Y headers on my 66, they fit great even though they are listed for 67-72's. I measured and trimmed roughly 1/2" from the top frame rail but really only needed to remove 1/4".
