The manual calls for sealer on the body side, the issue in this thread is new windshields are thinner than OEM so they leak between the gasket and the windshield and they should not. It isn't a big deal, throw some sealer in there and go.

Yes I realize the issue. A lot of people don't like putting the sealer into the gasket though. Just put it in and forget about it. It doesn't hurt anything and it doesn't mean you did it wrong.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: OEM Windsheild

I have a spare windshield that was pulled from a 69 longhorn back in 2000. It is marked "Safety Plate" by PPG (Pittsburgh Plate Glass) and it measured 0.260" with a mic at the top center so old glass was definitely at 1/4" or more thick.

Sorry for the pic, but the marking was not that great to begin with...

I have no idea what mediocre to decent old glass sells for. This one has some issues...

I have decided not to use it for fear that it would fog back up irregularly.

I will be looking for the pilkington glass, precision seal, along with plenty of windshield sealer.

I was referring to the PPG Classic glass. Not OEM. My original glass is not cracked but it has wiper scratches.

That's what I thought you were referring to, sorry for the confusion. This PPG glass is what I was talking about. I don't know what it would be valued at and I'm not 100% sure it's ready for a new home, but it will be in a few months if all goes well with the new replacement glass.
