If you are asking about the hole locations for the bolts that go through the wood to the frame, I didn't drill them. The previous owner used shorter bolts to just bolt the bed crossmembers to the frame without going through the wood. I think it has a cleaner look that way, but I'm not sure how the previous owner did it since I haven't pulled the bed off.

Years ago I remember my Dad re-doing the bed in his '60. Must have been '69 or '70. Yours looks great!
