I'm currently waiting for my fan shroud and a few parts for the heater to show up.

Re: 64 LWB Fleetside project

Any suggestions on ways to get the dent out of the passenger door?

Re: 64 LWB Fleetside project

Thanks! It started fast, but has sat pretty much idle, the last few months. It became less of a priority to the shop.

Looks pretty much the same as it did 4 months ago, but now it has everything installed.

Re: 64 LWB Fleetside project

Thanks! Hopefully it will be drive-able by the end of the month, once the rear axle is back together.

Re: 64 LWB Fleetside project

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate it. I did recently get the truck back from the shop. I'm not out driving it due to a few issues it came back with. The '67 Mustang gas tank isn't vented, like he said it would be. The fuel tank filler neck is only taped on. The alternator belt rubs on one of the bracket bolt heads and has already started to fray the brand new belt slightly. They managed to strip the threads on one of my brand new wheel studs and never fixed it or replaced my lug nut. All are minor things I know, but not what I expected to see after waiting 9 months.

Re: 64 LWB Fleetside project

I moved to Texas last summer and the truck has been hibernating in the garage ever since. I just picked up a 6.0 LQ4 swap for it and plan to get it road worthy. Will update soon.

Re: 64 LWB Fleetside project

Been a while since I’ve logged in. Decided to go with an L99 6L80E combo instead of the LQ4.

Re: 64 LWB Fleetside project

I decided to go with Muscle Rods for their LS Swap Kit, Headers, ECM/Harness/Pedal Kit for the L99. Suspension is now QA-1 Coilovers all the way around. Also decided to give it modern steering with a Unisteer Rack and Pinion and an Ididit tilt colum.

Thank you Sir - and I agree! I plan to get the stance dialed in and lose a little of the rake.

Wow, big upgrades recently! Great choices on parts too! Love your truck! Center caps would be a good touch too

Which radiator is that? I'm currently wondering what radiator to put in mine.

I went with the DeWitts LSX radiator for our trucks from Summit. Haven't been able to drive it since it was installed - so can't comment on cooling performance yet.

Appreciate the kind words. I'm undecided on wheels at this point - thinking of going a with one of the Detroit Steel Wheels in a staggered 18" setup. If I keep this setup, definitely plan to pickup some OE style caps.

Recently relocated to Dallas from Fort Worth. The truck hasn’t seen much attention lately. Anyone here in the Lake Highlands Area?
