Quick question on the sensitivity of the diesel pedal. Is it as quick to react to foot pressure as a truck DBW foot pedal? My truck pedal seems to be too sensitive, meaning the lightest touch causes a response from the throttle body, such as driving on a rough road where the constant bounce will cause your foot to lightly move up/down with body motion. This causing the engine speed to increase/decrease accordingly.

Here's my scrap pedal mount. It's at the 3:55 mark.

73 K5 blazer with the DBW pedal mount, using the stock pedal

I used a flat stock of plate, and moved it over 3" and that was it.

Compared to the 04 Truck pedal, the 98 Pedal seems more sensitive to me.
The 04 pedal had a lot more travel the 98 pedal. Seems that I don't have to press the 98 pedal as much as I did the 04 pedal.
FWIW: when I had the 04 pedal mounted it sat up really high, and I could not rest my foot on the floor when driving like most cars. So instead of moving just my foot I had to move my whole leg to use the throttle.

hmmmm. Interesting. Because I started with the Tahoe adjustable height pedal, I have gotten rid of all that bridgework, and welded an abbreviated pedal arm to the original pivot. I'm wondering if, because the pedal is so much shorter, the pedal ratio is less than it was, now, it takes less motion to equal the original operation, or maybe, I'm just overthinking it. Anyways, thanks for the response

Likuid kerations Has the absolute best dbw pedal brackets for 60-66 67-72 and 73-87 for all 3 pedal styles. Got one of their 67-72 and 73-87 and they are seriously top quality. I struggled to find a good bracket for 73-87 and now I know there isn't a better bracket out there. Best part is they are only $50 bucks

Gen5 swap - Ive done 2 different pedals. Stock Gen5 truck/Tahoe pedal and while it doesn't look like stock, it doesn't look bad. I still haven't made a metal bracket, still out of 3/4 MDF.

Other I used a 2008 Impala pedal and modified it to use the stock C10 pedal. The Impala needed to have a little sheet metal plate cut out so the pedal would have the stock c10 tilt, otherwise, it was a lot more vertical if i remember, really awkward.
