I had 2 original speakers re-coned by Jackson Speaker Service, Jackson, Michigan. they did a nice job on them. At that time they didn't have a web site or FB account but they may have now. I just typed the name into Google and called them from the info on there.

This was purchased from Dave Sutor, the radio guru of this forum, but never installed.

It is a dual voice coil speaker, not necessarily a problem. Specs list the voice coils at 4 ohms. Even wired in series it will only be 8 ohms. Factory radio wants to see a 16 ohm load. You can see in the speaker pic that it is labeled 16 ohm.

The picture I posted of the OEM speaker, it's a 10 ohm.
Also, factory radios for our trucks have engraved on the top of each one
"do not operate without 8 to 10 ohm speaker"

Re: wtb 4" x 10" Delco Style Rectangle dash speaker

I stand corrected. The speaker that Grumpy pointed out will work fine with the coils wired in series. The writing looks like 16 ohm on my trashed speaker that I took out, have never inspected the am/fm I have for the caution.
