If you do that wouldn't you just be recirculating the fumes instead of venting it. I think you need to plug both holes on the top of the tank and run the vent from the bung in the filler neck into the open air through a hose. Make sure the vent hose has a couple of loops in it which will keep the smell of gas from escaping. |
