Okay, digging in to this backfiring again. I want to sell it or trade it for an old StarCraft boat.
Taking it back down to my house today and will pull off the front clip so I can get access to everything and step through everything again. Not even going to bother with the carb at this time. The Edelbrock runs great on my 65. I even tried my fitech. I've switched distributors. Still the same issue. I'll start with cranking it up to TDC on the compression stroke and see where the distributor points to. Then probably pull the timing cover to make sure it hasn't skipped a tooth. After that, I'll pull the valve covers and make sure all the valves fully open and close.
