vintage air system does not communicate with the GM computer from what i remember looking at their instructions on the last install (on a 86 c-10 with l83). Vintage air is completely separate. On the L83 swaps Ive done, ive had no issues with evaporator freezing up with stock compressor and wiring it properly. clint
