You could make a sheet metal hose cradle/shield that bolts to the alternator / engine that holds the hose off of the belt and would act like a shield if the belt fails.....

it looks like they deigned the brackets for the LS3 water pumps but for truck balance spacing?

side note, if you happen to have a ruler, time and the space to measure center to center of the dirty dingo belt tensioner. (center of the bolt to the center of the pulley installed on the tensioner...

Pretty sure its a F-250 belt tesioner, but cannot find the length, center to center. its for another project

Gates has a hose catalog with pictures of the hoses. Its organized based on hose I.D. and then length. When I do my coolant those builds, I look at the catalog and can gauge what will probably work out based on the shape shown in the picture. Ive not been let down once
