Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

after one too many sleepless nights The Greg made some significant progress on Rev. 2.0 of our input shaft mechanism, using this handy LDR 311 F-112 Galvanized Floor Flange, 1-1/2-Inch, complements of our friends in Vietnam, or as I like to call it the Lexus GS450h transmission plate two big of a hole reducer thingie

here it is as found in our local Ace Hardware store plumbing section

Is the "Lexus GS450h transmission plate two big of a hole reducer thingie" being used as an alignment tool so you can re-drill those mounting holes?

that is correct, but it also required this additional mini adapter aka "rubber band set"

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

and then it was S&K Steel Time aka SKST

so this is the kind of remnants they have, and at first I thought this frisbie disc would work but turns out it was not sliced straight

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

so lets level set and regroup a bit, so up to this point for the last year or so I have been driving this truck only on one electric motor inside of that Lexus transmission, this one, commonly referred to as MG2 for Motor Generator 2, and I have put on over 2,200 miles on the truck that way (yeah, I know whooptie do!)

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

and what I have done just now is that I have enabled the second electric motor inside of that Lexus transmission called MG1 for Motor Generator 1, so now both electric motors will power the truck

in this latest video we test spinning each motor at a time and then both simultaneously

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

I really like this truck and it was great to see it (and you) in person, after Christmas. Was hoping to get a ride in the electrons-only pickup but I caught you in the middle of the phase 2 battery replacement. I thought this would be a good time to reread the thread AND get caught up. That's also why you might see me comment on ancient posts. Like this picture. I completely forgot that the cab was originally customized by the Dukes of Hack-ard and the bed painted batmobile style.
