Short water pump is almost touching the timing cover and the lower pulley is flat.

Long water pump there is a roughly 1" gap to the timing cover and the lower pulley has an offset away from the balancer.

I would agree that the upper pulley looks odd for a short pump, perhaps there is a spacer between the pump and pulley?

Also I have never seen a factory LH alternator mount for a long pump.
