Where to find 15 inch 6 lug wheels for front disc conversion

As i gather all the parts and info needed to convert my truck to 6 lug front disc, id like to retain the current steelie style wheel and my tires to try and save some coin.

Anybody have input on where to source new 15 inch 6 lug front wheels that will fit 10.5 dog dishes and clear the new discs? I read on a old post that you could run spacers on original 3 nub drum specific wheels but i only saw that mentioned once so I'm not sure how much truth there is to it. Anybody?

I currently have 15” drum 3 nubs on mine with cpp disc front. I am running a 1.5” spacer on all 4 corners at the moment. In the near future i am looking to update to the correct offset white steel wheels to keep hubcaps. Absolutely no rubbing issues with a 5.5/7 drop

I have the original 15" 3 nub wheels, and I used spacers

Baer 3/8" spacers:

I used this brake kit:

There we go. I guess I don’t have to buy new wheels right away after all. Drop spindles and spring up front? Notched rear?

Truck has a killer stance man!

I think any stock wheel from a 4x4 from 71 and up will work.

Re: Where to find 15 inch 6 lug wheels for front disc conversion

I spent about a year looking for 4 nub steelies, and really didn't find much. Those things were everywhere for a while I guess.

I might have gone with trailer wheels if'n I had heard of the things at the time I was looking. ~$60-70 a corner for straight wheels with fresh finish doesn't suck, assuming they'd take my P01 covers

I'm running these from Wheel Vintiques with no spacers required. Hub caps fit great. https://wheelvintiques.com/all-wheel...backspace.html

I have a similar setup, using wheel Vintique steelies from Summit. They cleared the discs fine. They hit on the portion of the spindle that the tie rod mounts to, at full turn/lock.

I really dislike it.

Re: Where to find 15 inch 6 lug wheels for front disc conversion

I looked into the wheel vintiques but was kinda on the fence about the width in the front for this reason. Im strongly considering the spacers as a cheap solution for the time being

Yes 3/5 springs and 2.5 spindle 2” block setup. I have eyed these wheels by wheelsmith manufacturering and they have 17 and 18s that fit our caps. 7,8 and 9” wide and anything over is a custom price. I have the fronts figured out with offset and all so i need to buy a couple and figure out what i can get in the rear Anybody use these on the forum im all ears……

That’s a great find right there. Curious to see what backspacing options there are, and the price. That’s exactly what I was after - larger but still simple / basic looking. Thanks for sharing.

I’ll try to give a ring tomorrow to see pricing and other options.

I spoke with a fella today who was very polite and helpful. I specifically asked about the 18x9 and 18x8 wheels….not the 15”. Sorry.

The 18’s have backspacing options in the 3.5-7.5 range, in 1/4” increments. They gave me exact numbers but I didn’t have a pen to write them down.

18x8 wheels are approx ~$300/ea. 18x9 are ~$310
They come BARE steel, no primer but can be powder coated many different colors for $75/ea.

For a set of 18’s….it’ll kill $2k by the time you buy, powder coat, ship and sales tax them to your door.

Expensive none the less but cool that we have some oem look a like steelie options. Im on the fence with 17 over 18 but know i meed more thean 15s since my rear shocks sit lower than bottom on 15 wheel

Piano avoid the spacers just find 73 on up square body 15 in Wheels you will know them as they will have four nubs instead of three and we'll clear disc brakes just fine
