Maybe you can modify a Contraption similar to this.

Just Kidding

Hope you have an easy task with this.
Just remember slow and steady wins the race.
Got it done without the basin wrench I have but can't find when needed. Hadn't used it in over 25 years. The faucet is working well and my Wife loves it.

That is a pretty year model, I also think 66-67 Novas have a nice body style.
What did I do today you ask?
While everybody is remodeling their homes or building decks or something, I cut up an old radiator hose to use as pads for my step ladder feet.
I would stand on the ladder to lean over to look down the carburetor venturies and the dang thing would slide out from under my feet, Impaling my fat gut on the hood latch and ruining my day.
I consider that time well spent today.

lets see what didn't I do to the truck..... I inverted my John Deere mowing tractor's deck to remove the blades and sharpened them, and also scraped out a season's worth of mud and packed lawn on 2/3rds of the deck, oh yeah to a nap, haha

LOL, I just did the same thing a couple days ago, in addition to changing the oil, and also changing the hydraulic fluid and filter.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I always go over the yard before I begin the mowing season. So I spent a couple hours in the yard picking up debri that has accumulated over the winter months, especially with all the winds we've had lately. In particular is our black gum tree that is a "self pruner" it seems. I pick up small limbs every week before I can mow. It's a huge old tree and as limbs die they fall. It doesn't produce gum balls, just small limbs. But when leaf'd out it has a pretty shape. And behind it there are the line of pine trees on the property line of our neighbor. They're his and he doesn't care for them. He did come out with a big vaccum behind his john deere mower AFTER I spent all that time picking up mine. Pine cones and pine needles blanket the ground. When he gets done they are piled up like a row of VWs.

Heading out to lift those lids and clean off the septic filter. We do it twice a year. No digging cuz I was smart and put risers on last year. Best thing I've done to that system. Once done, I'm firing up the bike and get in a couple of hours of saddle time.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

working on the 32 project,i have both rear quarters and wheel wells done, pretty happy with how the rear fenders fit as i have no plans to install that ugly old fender welt as would have done originally.i 'm working on 3 places on the back of the car where there are 3 poorly made and installed patches?i think 2 were for some sort of custom tail lights sometime in the old girls past but no idea what the 3rd patch up high on the drivers side would have been?no matter,we'll fix it.i will be working on installing front fenders next, drilling and tapping all the holes required, then tackling the rotten wood in the roof and around the rear window before building the engine and assembling the frame and suspension.like eating an elephant, one bite at a time.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Had to fix one of the anti vibration mounts on the Dolmar 7910 . The way they did was to use special large thread screws into the plastic housing . It pulled out and a new gas tank handle housing is $130 . My fix was to drill out the hole and heat up a coupler and draw it into the plastic worked out pretty well . The screw goes in from the opposite side so it can’t pull out .
