Re: You don’t see this every day.
I have mulled it over a few days, and believe I will let this one go. After the initial investment of getting it here, the work is just getting started. BUT someone closer needs this, seriously!

Re: You don’t see this every day.
Sorry it wasn't one of us. I would have liked to ask the buyer if he's changing out the 292 for an LS or Crate 350, if they could save me some L25 [292 L6] goodies.
Like motor mounts, P/S Brackets, P/S pump etc.

Re: You don’t see this every day.
This truck was originally purchased to be an efficient heavy duty workhorse with some extra comfort. Definitely special ordered by an experienced truck buyer, not something already sitting on the lot. The owner must have had good earlier experience with 292's or heard of this legendary exclusive truck only motor.

Re: You don’t see this every day.
Hope it's a buyer who appreciates that it's a work truck with a truck motor. I'd hate to think an LS or even a 350 or 400 is in its future.

Re: You don’t see this every day.
I’m the lucky (I guess) buyer. I’m only 100 miles away from him. I’ll post a few more pics when I get it home

I’m glad someone here could snag it up. I’m envious of you guys that live in the bread basket!

Re: You don’t see this every day.
The key to understanding GMC trim levels is to be year specific. You have the YE9 option code, which is top of the line Sierra Grande, which is equivalent to a '72 Chevy Cheyenne Super. Excellent thread for GMC fans. Pay particular attention to post #99 which sums up the facts on your truck.https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...mc+trim+levels
