barn door latch spring snapped

Hi, I discovered that my drivers-side barn door latch spring snapped, so the door won't stay shut. Does anyone have experience with this? How might I go about fixing or replacing it?

Thanks and regards,
Nick

I will have to look at mine and see what it looks like. I can't remember.

I would think a guy could make a spring for the latch without too much trouble. There is a pin or rivet that can be removed to get the spring out. The spring looks like it is about 1/16" in diameter so if a piece of 1/16" music wire (available at hobby shops) was used you should be able to make one to match the original.

Any broken pieces should be laying in the bottom of the door.

Hi, it very well might be. I had done a search but didn't turn up anything, so thanks for sharing. I'll compare it to mine and reach out if it matches.
