Corner speaker boxes

Anyone use these or ones like them? Thoughts on sound quality? Install? Do they screw in?

Re: Corner speaker boxes

Sorry guys, been busy. Not sure why the link doesn't work. They are sheet metal 6x9 holders that place the speakers on the cab corners.

Re: Corner speaker boxes

I did something similar. I built speaker boxes that fit tightly into the cab corners; no drilling/screwing necessary. They sound great.

Re: Corner speaker boxes

I put a set in my 67. There were no instructions. So, I lined the area with sound deadener; screwed it to the back wall (2 screws). The other edge tucks under the cab weatherstrip so I didn't want to put a screw there. Instead, I put a little rtv between the joint to prevent vibration. Also stuffed the cavity with jute or other insulation. It sounds surprisingly good.
NOTE: I had the 6x9's in boxes facing up behind the seat, but after my truck spent time in paint purgatory, I found out why that's a bad idea's. Also, I'm running a 1000 watt (well that's what they claim) 4 channel amp and a powered subwoofer. In my noisy truck I don't think I could hear anything if it wasn't amplified significantly.

Ditto. I stuck an amp under the passenger seat.

Is that the molded rubber floor? I put that in my truck as well, it made a huge difference for the in-cab sound level!

It's the molded vinyl floor from stockinteriors.com (link to it below). I've been happy with it. I believe I installed it around 2016.
