I have done several with the leegreen method. bending as required. ensure to have your full flooring material thickness under the pedal so that doesn't mess you up later.
sometimes the connection at the carb end can be placed at different locations on the carb lever to modify the amount the pedal travels. closer to the throttle shaft pivot point gives less pedal movement needed but also gives a touchy throttle pedal, like a little pedal movement goes a long way on the rpm curve
