Re: Accelerator pedal problem

Just kicking around some ideas here... what harness are you using? What trans setup? (doesn't the stock tune have a rev limiter when in Park? Has this been changed?)

Re: Accelerator pedal problem

Leegreen. I have removed the injectors and cleaned them. I have also put a hose on the end of the fuel rail and turned the key on and off 3 times and got .5 litres of gas with a strong stream. I will pull the plugs and see how they look but I’m not getting any misfires. Like I said the truck idles fine and starts right up without cranking a long time.

Trybalrage. The harness is from a 2005 Avalanche. The trans,is soon I a, using is the original SM 465. The PCM is am using is from a 2005 Silverado HD 2500. Inside the PCM I have selected manual transmission. It was an automatic truck. The TAC, and gas pedal are from the 2005 Avalanche. Both trucks had the same p59 and OS that’s why I went with the Silverado pcm because it had a 6.0 vortex.

Re: Accelerator pedal problem

Try flashing a stock manual trans tune as a test?

VSS and PRNDL switch needs to be addressed as well as just switching trans mode.

Between BCM and ECU there is a handshake to limit RPM to prevent trans issues in neutral. disable all the transmission abuse / torque management stuff in tune may fix that.

Read up on automatic to manual conversions .

Re: Accelerator pedal problem

Agreeing with Lee here - from my own research you can't just do a "switch to manual", there's a lot of other settings. Most people seem to recommend doing a entire "segment swap" from the same OS on a vehicle with a manual. I'm getting ready to flash my own P01 because of a change from auto to manual.

If you haven't already, you may want to post your issues on the ls1tech.com forum, those folks have been doing swaps since the LS came out.

Re: Accelerator pedal problem

I had a similar issue with my truck. After the ECM was flashed, it would idle but not do much else.

I scheduled a dyno tune with a shop that does 15–20 LS swap tunes a week. I didn’t want to tow it, so I limped it over at idle. It ran okay with light throttle, but halfway there it started running poorly, I had to pull over. After restarting it, the throttle worked a tiny bit.

He loaded a base tune and spent time dialing it in. When I left, at 40 mph and stomp on the skinny pedal itwould throw me back in the seat. I had fresh premium gas in the tank too.

Re: Accelerator pedal problem

Hi guys. I’m going to try posting in hp tuners forum. I’ll have time to research some of the topics you have given me as it too damn cold to work on the truck right now anyway.

Thanks for the help, when I figure it out I’ll be sure to post my findings here.
