Re: Gas Pains!
I miss the sound of my BB sucking down gallons of gasoline . I now have an LS with 6 speed manual. If I’m nice I can get 20 mpg. However I’m not a nice guy, I put cam and heads on the LS that produces 403 HP at the rear wheels and I like to Use It. Yes Gas prices are out of control, I can’t change that by my self. If I was still community daily, I would be a little more upset. Long story short enjoy what you have. I’m going to have another glass of Wine. Good Night

Re: Gas Pains!
I haven't been to town in a few days but on Monday most were @ $2.85. One was @ $3.19
Corp likely sets most of their prices and it's good for investors. Some years ago Exxon-Mobil said their priority is to their investors first! You can believe that. Maximum profit above all else. It's just business..

Re: Gas Pains!
Two days ago, both of our downtown stations were at $4.90. Today I saw one station at $5.10, and the other -- literally right next door -- at $5.30.
They generally compare prices and keep them the same. Won't be long before they'll both be $5.30. Or higher.

Remember when gas stations had price wars? Man, that's never going to happen again!

Re: Gas Pains!
Actually I have two of them I got for free, the legs kind of curved around under and I cut those off and put pieces of radiator hose on the stubs to keep them from scratching up everything.
You just place the Palm of your hand on the ground, lift up your body weight a little bit while holding a handle with your free hand and slide the chair around wherever you want it. Great for polishing wheels and doing brake work. Oh, and I have one in my cottage for operating my elaborate reloading bench.

Re: Gas Pains!
I remember mowing yards as a kid, pushing the mower down the street. I bought gas for 26 cents per gallon and put it into a 1 gallon glass kerosene jug. Some times I let it ride on the mower deck and some times, if it was less full, I held onto the mower handle bar and hung that jug with one finger through that hole in the neck. And I survived y'all!

![]() I did the same thing. Bought my own mower for $20, walked to the gas station to fill my glass jug. Nowadays I don't think a young kid would be allowed to buy gas -- darn sure not in a glass jug!

Re: Gas Pains!
Speaking of free chairs I got this one free from someplace and it's just about the right height to lay on it and work underneath the dashboard with a little more back support, and it's got casters too.

Re: Gas Pains!
Was still $2.85 on Monday. I'll go to town today and see where they're at.
Also Diesel here was $4.09. It rarely gets mentioned here.

I did add an edelbrock resin type heat insulator later and I don't remember the part number for that but still no leaks. Maybe I should just leave well enough alone for now. |

Re: Gas Pains!
Well, they went up again this week.
Now $3.05 for reg and $4.29 for diesel. That's 3 increases this week.
