Nice truck. The spots with rust look really familiar. What size are your Cragar rims? 15?

Re: C10Slim's 66 Build Thread
The floor and rocker project is now complete!! Just a little grinding to do on the welds but I am going to put that off for a bit. I am ready to move on to the next step. I also filled the hole for the filler neck since I am going under the bed with the tank. As you can see the big brown truck visited me today. Brought me power disc brake converstion with drop spindles and c-notch. Project for this weekend is to get the cab off the frame.

Re: C10Slim's 66 Build Thread
I always make a pattern like he did and cut out the metal with a pair of hand held tin snips. Hold it in place with a magnet and weld it in.

Today's goal was to get the cab off the frame. Stripped the steering components and called some buddies!

Re: C10Slim's 66 Build Thread
Pulled the motor and tranny today. Also power washed the front half of the frame so I can disassemble with out fighting 40+ years of grime.

You messed up. It's always fun to play in 40+ years of grim.

Re: C10Slim's 66 Build Thread
Today pulled all the front suspension and started poping rivets on the trans and trailing arm crossmembers. Hopefully tomorrow I can flip it and finish the bottome rivets. Then be ready to blast and paint.

Re: C10Slim's 66 Build Thread
Today was a good day and a craptastic all at the same time. First got the c-notch in and the frame cleaned up. Painted the center link and crossmember. The while I was admiring my work I a hear a bang. I turn to look and the neighbor has just backed in to my car!!! Sucks!
