Are you done building this truck yet? Haven't seen an update in a while.

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
I can't believe the nice metal you have in the mid west. If you found that truck in New England it would be gone from the lower door hinge down. Looking good and can't wait to see it finished.

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
Sorry for not posting any updates I've been busy and haven't had alot of time to work on the truck. Decided to go a little different way on the truck. Here is where I'm at now.
Got the interior painted The firewall painted and engine and trans installed Installing and lining up the front end I just got done painting the door hinges, so when those are dry ill mount and line up the doors and get it painted. Hopefully this weekend it should be painted. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
The AC unit is a vintage air out of a f100. Got from a buddy who sold his truck but kept the AC system.

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
FedEx man came today to drop off my original 1955 Cadillac wheel covers I won on EBay.
Got the door hinges and all the interior trim pieces painted. Next I will get the doors hung and lined up. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
Got the doors hung and lined up. I must have put on and took off each door about 10 times before when I was doing all the metal work and fixing the hinges so today we got them hung and lined up pretty quick and easy.
Driver side Passenger side Everything lined up and tighten down. Just need to wet sand it and get it painted. Hopefully by this weekend she will be painted. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
Ok I know alot of people won't like the paint job I'm doing on the 56 pickup but I've been wanting to do one for awhile so here it is. I still haven't wetsanded it to bring the "patina" out.

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build
Got the hood and grill on and pushed it out to dry in the sun. Should be dry enough tomorrow so I can start wet sanding it. But so far I'm liking how it turned out.
