I thought about it but there was really no reason to move it forward, everything fit well and I also wanted to make sure that I had room for all the turbo plumbing, intercooler and fan assembly at the front of the engine

Re: Newb doing a LS3/6L80 twin turbo swap K5

truck is running and moving under its own power!!started it up last Friday night and had our tuner throw a program in it yesterday, other than a few mis-pinned wires on the MAP sensor she cranked right upIll try to get a few pics of the finished product this afternoon.I still have to do the gauge cluster, which im waiting on from New Vintage Gauges, and I still have to wire in the sensor for the flex fuel but other than that shes ready to rock!

Love the build. Just wondering how the transfer case is working. I have looked into turning blazers into auto 4x4 but required dropping an ford front diff in to get a drivers side drop. I like your idea. Just wondered about how it was working out. Do you have some miles on the truck yet.

What kind of newfangled flying machine have you got here, yikes. There's a lot of power under that hood. Very Cool!

re-read the first page there is a detailed description on how I did it...That being said,Although mechanically it worked out fine turns out those t-cases are notorious for driveline vibration, and with the length of my drive train I was unable to achieve the correct pinion/drive shaft angle to make it correct,so now I have a plain old NP241 behind it...seems to be working out fine though. It is on the dyno today I'll post numbers later today or tomorrow and a vid as well

Its all relative,it should make between 550-600 rwhp when its all said and done,to me thats not a lot,but then again my daily driver makes 996rwhp,thanks for the compliments they are appreciated

I understand how you did it. I was just wondering if it worked. I understand that the pinion angle would be pretty steep. The angle is not going to be much different with the old case in it. Thanks for the info. the thing i was worried about is the clutches in the case.

it did seem to work fine, and you're right the angle didnt change much but after some research and speaking with a local 4x4 shop who I have a relationship with they informed me that the refuse to do lift kits on the 07 and up Escalade's and denalis due to the fact that they are very prone to vibration once the drive line angle was changed even a few degree's from stock. So after that conversation I decided I would rather not chase my tail and just switch units.

I am sure that they are just not made as strong as the old cast iron cases. I have replaced several of them but i have never had one open. i stay away from trannys.

Re: Newb doing a LS3/6L80 twin turbo swap K5

dyno results are in!!491 rwhp on 93 octane 525 rwhp on E85 spinning 31's and doing 3rd gear pulls to keep the wheel speed down.Over all I'm very pleased only 6psi so its nice and safe and I'll still be able to tow with it which was my original intent
